Skills that turn into careers. Our vocational graduates are now electricians, nurses, and engineers.
With unemployment high across Zimbabwe, a diploma alone rarely leads to a job. So alongside school, we train our older children and school leavers in welding, sewing, computer skills, and construction, then place many of them in six month certification programs at outside training centers, followed by supervised job placements.
This approach has real results. Recent graduates from our vocational and higher education support have gone on to become electricians at the national power company, nurses at local hospitals, and engineers. Several have completed their training and now mentor the next group of Elders coming up behind them.
